|The Don't Jump to Conclusions spread was developed by me in 1997 to help my clients make more realistic decisions about the choices they were facing instead of "jumping to conclusions" about them. This spread will help you look at your expectations about a situation, let you know if they are unrealistic or not by revealing how the situation will most likely unfold as compared to your expectations, and often help you avoid making a decision that isn't in your best interest even if it looks beneficial on the surface. This spread uses four cards in the layout but you can draw clarifying cards if you need to use them.
Card #1 represents the situation. Card #2 represents the conclusion about the situation that you're jumping to. Card #3 represents how the situation will most likely turn out. Card #4 represents the reason why the situation is likely to go in this direction. (c) Maralee Fox-Heins
