|I developed the Damned If You Do & Damned If You Don't spread in 1984 to help my clients who were having trouble making a decision. When you have already carefully explored your choices, listed the pros and cons of each one but remain unsure of what to do, this spread will help you to focus on the best possible choice for you when you are faced with making a decision between different options. There are 3 choices shown here but you can add as many as you need to.
Cards #1, #2, and #3 represent each option or choice. Cards #4, #5 and #6 represent the benefits of each choice. Cards #7, #8, and #9 represent the downside or obstacles you're likely to face if you choose this path. Cards #10, #11, and #12 are the potential outcomes for each choice. Cards #13, #14, and #15 are the wild cards. They are indicators of hidden influences present that you need to be aware of which will affect the outcome of each choice. Keep in mind that the wild cards are read either faceup or reversed so pay attention to the direction they're facing when you pull them from the deck. (c) Maralee Fox-Heins
